Description
The 3M™ Aqua-Pure™ Whole House Scale Inhibition Replacement Water Treatment Cartridge AP431 is designed to reduce scale build-up and protect water-using appliances and plumbing fixtures from corrosion. It is specifically engineered for use with the 3M Aqua-Pure™ AP430SS whole house scale inhibition system. This cartridge helps prevent the accumulation of calcium and magnesium minerals on hot water-using appliances, such as water heaters (both standard and tankless), dishwashers, clothes washers, as well as faucets, pipes, and shower heads.
The AP431 uses polyphosphates to bind hardness minerals in the water, preventing scale formation and extending the lifespan of your appliances and plumbing. These polyphosphates also create a thin protective layer on metal surfaces, helping to guard against corrosion. Changing the cartridge is quick and easy, similar to changing a light bulb, making maintenance simple for both professionals and end users.
